The jet engine modernized the air travel around the world. Unlike the old propeller-driven planes that were powered by piston engines, jet charter could fly at a remarkable speed, thus cutting down travel time. They could even climb faster and fly higher. The world’s first jet airliner was The De Havilland Comet. Unfortunately, there have been tragic accidents and as a result flights were suspended for two years. From thereon, domestic U.S companies began building jet airliners using their own program. Of all the airlines, Pan American Airways was the U.S. government chosen instrument to represent the American commercial air fleet abroad. They were the first to really embrace the jet aviation and set the standards for service in the new jet era. After that, several more airlines came across the competition. That is why they’ve been forced to establish much higher standards of maintenance that required better facilities on the ground and highly trained employees for the jet travels. This made it more reliable in terms of its safety and security. As for the passengers, they are now enjoying flying out in a private jet charter with less noise and less travel time. Even private company preferred to use private jets for their business trips.
