When my dad passed away, I shared in front of the family and friends who attended his wake the list of lessons he wanted to inculcate into me. One lesson is about doing good to others even if they have done you something bad. The other one is about not ever ever borrowing money from anyone else. He would always tell me that he worked hard all his life to make me, his only daughter, live a life of dignity which meant not being chained to whatever debt. I took his lessons to heart until my business started to be rocked by the economic crisis. One by one, my clients started to stop having my catering service. Since my catering business has reached a certain level of “growth” the previous year, the effect of a sudden break from doing business with my clients took a toll on me and my employees. My business needed help. As much I would love to follow my dad’s advice, the economy forced me to seek help. I got a Business Loan to stimulate my business. Also, I applied for a Payday Loan. Thankfully, I got approved. And by the looks of it, my business is starting to gain more life again. I’m sure my dad, as he watches over me from heaven, is happy I made those decisions.
